in response to John It has enough power to move itself but barely. When I put the timing light on it it was right on. In response to Bob it does have a new bosch blue coil that I put in at the same time as the plug wires, cap and rotor. In response to Warren the fuel pressures were tested and were all in the normal range. In response to David while it is possible that I have a vacuum leak somewhere, I can lean the mixture out to the point that the engine starts to die and it's still running rich. The injectors, seals and clamp for them are all new. So Rick, I'm starting to lean (no pun intended) toward ignition rather than fuel system issues. I was thinking about it last night and if by I have two plug wires swapped around that would cause raw fuel in the exhaust and would explain the backfiring and rough running with lack of power.
