I hate to say that I would be a little skeptical of anything that the seller would tell you but when I bought my DMC last August, the seller SWORE that it was in great condition. I took it out for a test drive and the brakes felt a little "soft." He assured me that it was just because he had put new brake pads on it and they needed to get seated into the rotors. Anyway, I was a little nervous about it so I paid to have it trailered to me house. Once I started to get into it I found that the front calipers were frozen up, hadn't been lubricated in years - and the front brakes were totally inoperative. So from my standpoint, if you're not sure, don't take the chance.
