Dan, With the proper restoration I don't feel it would be a bad investment. You just have to weigh out what you paid for it and the cost of restoration. That cost would depend on who does it, under what time schedule and to what extent of work has to be done. I restored a V8 engine in a boat that had sunk and it came out fine. Keep in mind the engine had or has oil in it that will help protect the parts. I have a shop now that is restoring a blown engine car and another one that has sat for some years. If it turns out to be to much, then call me. 972-564-9321. We are now repairing cars also. The owner had removed the intake to install a new water pump and hoses. Within the next few day Hurricane Charley came through and ther was 2" of water in the floor board and the engine was saturated with water. The car sat for 3 months before I purchased it. The motor has froze up. I took the D. to the new DMC in Bonita Springs Fl. after their inspection I was told because it was issued a Salvage Title/rebuildable flood title it would be difficult to resell. All S.S.Panels, all glass, and frame are in excellent condition. If I have DMC get this car back in running condition does anyone feel I would have a problem reselling this car in the future? Who would sell car as a parts car, or put it back together. thanks for your input. dan 3496 To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
