Andy, It sound like you may have hit on the problem. Still, it's a good idea to replace the inertia sw and the RPM relay. The impulse coil is a job to replace and I would not attempt it if the car seems to be running OK. You will be pulling and replacing the intake (time consuming but no big deal) and removing, disassembling and reassembling the distributor (the disassembly requires some care and the directions are not very clear and making not getting this right means repeating the long process).
