When my previous car had this problem it turned out to be the lower harness plug behind the drivers seat. Plugs into a box. It would come loose and cause this. I secured it with a couple of large wire ties.

crank the ignition as I stuck an allen wrench in it and put it up to the 
intake manifold. There was no spark. So, the problem is definitely that I am
