I DOESN'T work. I know, I tried. TWICE! Don Steger who claims to be able to do it tried for me and said he did at one time have some success, just not with me. There is just too much stress for the weld to hold and the heat from the welding changes the grain structure in the area surrounding the weld. There are a lot of technical reasons why it does not work. That is why, someday, someone will have to reproduce these torsion bars somehow.
