I Absolutely correct. I had to cut my crossover pipe in half and rewelded later. The nuts on the cat were so far gone that they were rounded off. Even after having the cat/half-pipe out, cuting off the studs, and pounding with a sledge I still couldn't separate it. Ended up taking it to a muffler shop where they could heat it with a torch. They replaced the flex portion and rewelded the pipe, all is good now.
