>From the pictures it looks to me like the car has been wet. The seats are the giveaway. I've never seen seats that look like those in a DeLorean. Notice the wrinkles in the leather? 
 
The binnacle has been recovered. There is a seam just above the steering wheel. 
 
The dents in the stainless don't appear to be something that can't be fixed.
