My grandfather successfully registered a 1974 VW bus he pulled out of a junkyard with a salvage title here in CA, so that's probably not as big a hurdle as it seems. It remains to be seen whether I actually bid on it (don't really wanna deal through eBay if the car is local), but apparently I'll be able to look at it on Sunday. The damaged stainless is kinda worrying. I doubt this is a flood car, as it has a CA license plate and the only flood car I remember was back east. There is a history of flooding around here, but I don't see any obvious flood damage. Are there any other potentially fatal problems (like frame rust or something similar) that would be immediately obvious in person? --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "David Teitelbaum" <jtrealty@xxxx> wrote: > > > Worse than what appears to be easily correctable problems is the > SALVAGE TITLE!!!!! <snip> To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
