Use a bigger wrench and put some effort into it. It can be on there tight but it should come loose. Make sure you are pulling in the right direction (counterclockwise looking end-on) and use the correct size wrench with maybe a "cheater bar". It IS a right-hand thread. Test it BEFORE removing. Use a continuity tester or ohmmeter and shift into reverse. Just clean up the boot, the connectors, and the wiring and do not seal it. Penetrating oil is not going to help you get it off, it is just tight.
