If you want the delux system with door openers, alarm and all those toys -
yes,
you have to cut about 2-4 wires. Or you go the hard way and install two
extra wires
from the T-Top inside the car, then you can save two wires but have a lot
more work.

Is it worth it ?

YES ABSOLUTELY !
