Any upgrade will be an improvement over the origional radiator. It is an aluminum core with plastic tanks crimped on each end. Every one I see is green around the edges (not a good sign). My own looked pretty good until I took it out. It was also green all over. I put in a brass one with 3 rows of tubes. I did it not so much for any cooling improvement but for reliabilty. I saw first-hand what happens when an end tank blows off and there is NOTHING you can do except replace the radiator. I got the radiator from P J Grady and am very happy with it. I do not know what the other venders offer but I am sure it is either just as good or perhaps better. It was a little pricey for a radiator but if you figure what a tow can cost then it is cheap insurance. If you have ANY doubts about your radiator then replace it and use new (fresh) anti-freeze. It is a pain to do with all the little screws and washers so take your time.
