Never paid any attention to that relay because mine's a 5 speed (erroneously assumed Ramon's was too) but: Isn't this yet ANOTHER example of driving a DeLorean from a well placed jumper in the relay compartment? Several other systems can be temporarily forced on in an emergency: -Fuel pump -Headlights -Cooling fans (can jump otterstat too) -Windshield wipers (jump under dash) -Ignition/Hot Start relay (easiest to jump directly to the coil from the jump start post) -Can also swap failed Main Relay with Accessory Relay Of course ground connections at the far end of any circuit can pose their own problems. Every owner should familiarize him/herself with the electrical system BEFORE something fails on the side of the road. Not only will that make diagnosis faster and easier, but it may well facilitate a workable solution to get the car home.
