What exactly are your symptoms? Assuming you are trying to start the car from a cold start and it starts normally when warm you should check all the systems that are activated when the motor is cold. That includes the vacuum advance system for the ignition and the cold start valve. I would start with the cold start valve. Check and see if it gets power when cold and the engine is cranking. It could just be that you need a tune-up because you have worn spark plugs and bad ignition wires.
