Harold - I cut the ground wire for the side markers, and then spliced the ground wire common to the light into the turn signal hot wire for each side respectively. The remainder of the ground wire to the car is unused. This was described by either Martin or Jan in a post some time ago. It works due to the behavior of the relay when it "parks" (going to ground) according to the post.
