In hindsight you should have made sure there was no pre-payment penalty. Try to see if you can get the lease assigned over to another person so you can sell the car basically if someone else takes over the payments. Try not to leave your name on the lease because if the person you sell it to misses any payments they will also go after you as a co-signer.
