You didn't read the last post about gas level carefully. First fill the
tank. If the problem goes away, you have a split fuel pickup hose. When
the gas level gets low enough, the split hose starts sucking air, killing
your engine. When you accelerate, you reach this "bad" gas level earlier
becuase the gas is sloshing around. At a standstill, you will start to
sputter as soon as your gas level goes down a little bit more and starts
sucking air 100% of the time
