If you have the Technical Information Manual, look on page 52. Circle 1 - Delay valve; the side the arrow points to is the Carb side. The Vacuum supply side is the Dist side. The different colors indicate the rate of bleed-down. Brown, if I remember correctly, is a very long delay and therefore may cause a too rich condition under cold engine acceleration (after warm up this circuit is dropped). The delay is suppose to be 10 seconds and is a white color code on mine. They do go bad and then you will notice a hesitation on cold start acceleration.
