All good points. I made some phone calls and was informed that when DMC Houston bought everything from KAPAC, that also included the copyright to the manuals. The original DMC had never paid the publisher, so the manuals weren't released until -after- the company folded! When KAPAC bought everything from DMC, they paid the publisher and the manuals were released to them. I have obtained permission from Houston to use sketches and quotes in a not-for-profit article. I've written the rough draft, but haven't inserted any visual aids yet. I'm having some people "in the know" proof read it for me.
