[DML] Re: The drive-thru predicament



 
I also don't bother with the drive-thru. In my experience, it's usually faster to go inside than through the drive-thru anyway.

The reason I don't use a drive-thru is simply because the drive-thru
workers feel they need to go through the entire ritual of bringing
every employee in the restaurant up to the window to gawk and point at
your car -- you end up being an inconvenience to those in line behind
you. Either that, or the employees just stare with their eyes wide
and jaws dropped, paying very little attention to the fact that you
also asked for ketchup and salt.

I use the drive-thru about once a year, just to remind myself why I
don't use the drive-thru.

P.S. I was just a toddler back then, but I'm pretty sure there were
lots of drive-thrus and drive-ins when the cars were designed.
