In addition to the idler bearings, you might also want to check the condition of the seals for the fuel injectors. On the way to Memphis last year an owner had the retaining clip pop up, and the seal unseated slightly, resulting in an ear piercing whistle of a vacumme leak. I have also noticed a lesser form of this whistle on a Maryland owner's car, and even my own 4 weeks ago when the engines were cold. Just another thing to check.
