What are the disadvantages of using 5-30? GM specifies 5-30 in my new car (37K miles so far - no probs). If one was looking to boost DMC performance, wouldn't 5-30 be a decent solution? --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "therealdmcvegas" <DMCVegas@xxxx> wrote: > I would only reccomend using 20w50 in temperatures that are constanly above 90°F both day AND night! I second that statement... stay away from 20-50! A few high revs or redlines in cold weather & you're going to see an increase in driveway oil spots.
