The only people who I hear say that the DeLorean performs "disgustingly" are those who have never actually driven one. If your car is tuned, and running properly, you should really not be "disgusted" at all with its performance. Everyone who's ever been in my D describes it as "fast" or "peppy"... and this include muscle car fans like my father. Try timing yourself 0-60... what kind of numbers are you getting? Just out of curiosity... do you have a manual, or automatic? And what's so wrong with the houston upgrade? Modifications are light, and almost invisable- a change of camshafts, and a free flow exhaust system... all of which are done to your existing engine. Everyone I know who's driven, or owned one of their upgraded cars is more than satified with them. The only way you're going to get 450hp out of a PRV is if you go with a more modern one, and modify the heck out of it... thus destroying staying with the cars heritage like you mentioned. There's also the Cadillac Northstar v8 conversion by American Custom Engineering. That's a cool setup... if you've got $20k to play with. As you can see there's really no way to cheaply and easily raise the DeLoreans horsepower. But hey... if you find a way, share it with us! :-) Louie Golden VIN 10115
