Assuming all else is ok, look for a vacuum leak at the vacuum solenoid for the distributor. The vacuum line goes from a valve under the intake manifold to the solenoid then from the solenoid to the distributor. You can see the routing on the hose routing sticker on the engine cover. It is activated after the engine warms up so I would be suspect of a vacuum leak in that line causing a fast idle when warmed up.
