There have been a lot of good replies to this thread. I would like to add to it something I just thought of. If the car is to be stored for a very long time, wouldn't it be a good idea to remove all the gas struts from the doors, hood, and rear louvres? Then keep them in a warm dry place, in the extended position? My reasoning is that when the doors, hood, etc. are closed, the struts are in the compressed position and therefore under more pressure. I would think that after a year or two like this, the gas inside them would be prone to leaking and when the car is brought out of storage, none of them will work anymore. Ok, maybe its a stupid idea, but I had to add my two cents worth. :-) Richard #5853
