I did a bad thing yesterday. I spent a long time in the DMC in rush-hour traffic sitting behind someone trying to make a left turn, directly under the "No Left Turns" sign. I let my foul mood impair my judgement and chose to enter fast-moving traffic into a very small gap. "Hey, Steven Wynn got me 200HP, I can fit in there" I told myself. I floored the gas and sidestepped the clutch, turning right. As I did this, the back tires spun and I found myself going down the road somewhat sideways, and not accelerating as well I should have been. "Gee," I said to no one in particular, "it's never done THAT before." I was somewhat pleased until I considered the traffic coming up beind me and the ditch looming in front of me. So I countersteered slightly, did a brief throttle lift then right back on the gas hard, and WHOOSH, it straightened right out and shot off like a rocket! Not bad for a car two decades old, eh? Of course, all this took place in the span of 2 seconds. I love this car. Gus Schlachter VIN #4695 Austin, TX
