Why would 37 cars not be on the road if you had not dismantled 3? Were the parts for those 37 not available at DMCHouston or some other parts source? I think what the author was trying to say was that the delorean car has a vin number and frame that is not replaceable and some people would just strip a car for profit instead of trying to fix it. The cars that you described that were turned into parts cars do sound like they were serious but I think there are 2 different ideas being batted around here. Just my 2 cents.
