You know, a while back on the list here, someone mentioned an idea they had about using their DeLorean to deliver pizza. I can't remember who that was, but if they're reading this, I guess now's your chance! I don't know what to say about the paint scheme from hell on that car. Other than perhaps Earl Schieb is probably turning in his grave somewhere. It could have been worse. I mean after all, there other corporate color combinations out there that are less atractive. It could have been owned by Basken Robins, and done up in white, black, and pink... Seriously though, the car has great potential as either a vehicle for the SERIOUS collector who wants something different. Or better yet, someone who wants to own a painted DeLorean. Strip off the exisiting paint, and start fresh with a new, custom color. If I were going to buy a 2nd D to be painted, this one would be the perfect canidate that I would choose. -Robert vin 6585 "X" --- In dmcnews@xxxx, James Espey <james@xxxx> wrote: > Interesting car on Ebay originally purchased by Domino's Pizza... > > http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item= 1865080241 > > We do have the warranty card for this car, which does show the original > purchaser as Domino's Pizza Inc of Ann Arbor, Michigan on 9/23/81. > > Doubt that being previously owned by Domino's makes it any more valuable, > but does, at least, explain the paint scheme. > > James Espey > DeLorean Motor Company
