Just disconnect the battery. You might put it up on blocks to keep the tires from getting lumpy. If you wanted you might add some fuel stabilizer to the gas. But 6 months is not that big a deal really. I'm not a big fan of draining gas out of the tank, this will allow moisture in the air to get in and cause rust. A full tank is better since when it is full of gas, it isn't full of water vapor.
