Don't worry to much about the bottle cracking. Just make sure that your Cap on the bottle is in good condition that it will blow off extra pressure that builds up in the bottle. That's the main cause of bottle failure. The cap is cheap enough to replace evrytime you change the antifreeze in your car and it's also very easy for a mechanic to test them to make sure that it is good. I would just keep an eye out on it looking for any signs of cracks on it. It's not to say "Quick run out and get the steel bottle!" it's just a caution. I have the original bottle on my car and when I have enough money I will replace it but for now my money is going to other more important things on the car like a fanzilla and new door seals :).
