For what it's worth, consider taking your oil pan to a weldor to have it repaired. Only instead of fixing the drain hole, have it welded closed and then drill & tap a new hole in the bottom. It may require some welding to make enough room for the new threads, but it would be nice to have the plug in a sensible location. Walt
