[Moderator Note: This thread is generating many responses, like this one, discussing cars other than the DeLorean. So many that I shall soon slam the door on it. These posts have merit, but they only appeal to a small audience. - Mike Substelny, moderator of the week] Well, I agree that the new T-bird has had no problems, but there is no way to compare it to a 20+ year old car. Heck, my wife's PT Cruiser also has no real problems in it. I have no proof here, but I assume that the T-bird is not a completely new car from the ground up. I am sure it has been blessed with previous engineering successes. Look at the most reliable part of our D, the engine. It was a proven engine before being introduced in the DeLorean, and look how little problems it has caused. This thread comes up from time to time and all I keep looking at is a 1994 Dodge Ram I used to own. It was the 1st year of the new (well old now) design. It had over 60 recalls on it since we got it. Look at it now only a few years down the road... "The Mayor Of Truckville". I will never say it is a perfect car, but looking at it's roots, it has faired better then most upstarts.
