Welcome to the world of Quentin "slap-head" Willson. He's the single
largest source of misinformation on the DeLorean in the whole world. For
some reason, he has a chip on his shoulder about the car. The largest
bug-bear was the UK TV show The Car's The Star, in which not ONE good
word was given on the car, and a hell of a lot of half-truths and
downright un-truths were given. Subsequently I've seen TCTS on the
Edsel, and Quents was very complimentary of its "collectableness" today.
I spend an inordinate amount of time at shows correcting people's
"knowledge" of the D, all down to people watching or reading Quentin.
If I ever meet him, I'll hardly be able to resist thumping him.
There's a LOT more about him on my website here:

(see "Mirror Article" and "The Car's the Star")
Interestingly, on other car shows, even Quentin's "colleagues" from
BBC's Top Gear (Jeremy Clarkson, Tiff Needell) have given the DeLorean
an approving nod.

In Sam's Club yesterday, I picked up a very beautifully illustrated book.
It's title was "Car's: A Celebration." Curious, I turned to the 'D" section
to find the DeLorean. There were two great pictures surrounded by negative
captions and balloons. The author, Quentin Willson, inaccurately described
every flaw the car had and had not one good thing to say about the car or
John Z. DeLorean.
I flipped through the book to see what he had to say about other unsuccessful
cars, the Edsel in particular. None of them including the edsel got the
shameful treatment that he gave the DMC. Does anyone know who this guy is?
And what burr he has under his saddle with regards to the DMC?
