Paul - The adjustment that you are referring to is very effective at shifting the entire pattern over. After I changed my clutch last year, (which required removal of all of the shifting linkage), I found that I had no reverse. The pattern had been shifted over when I reinstalled everything without doing any fine adjustments. I read the manual, and performed the adjustment. It allowed me to "fine-tune" the exact location of the pattern. Bottom line - go for it. Is that all I need to do, as there seems to be plenty of space over that side?? > > Cheers > > Paul > #6463
