Remove the the positive cable, it's closer and > it's much easier to deal with. Dear Les, You are right, the positive cable is the closest and easiest to reach and disconnect. That is also the cable that one would hook up the battery disconnect switch to. This is the cable that I switch off when I need to work on the car and the electrical is a concern. Gary Masie
