No; the deep surge is caused by the compressor and both high current cooling fans all turning on at the same time. A bad battery ground will increase the voltage loss when the AC switches on. The only practical solution to the AC current surge problem is to install the TankZilla fuel sender up grade from PJ Grady and DeLorean Services.
