Power steering really isn't necessary with the DeLorean because the steering effort is pretty light. A power steering setup would require another belt-driven accessory at an already congested part of the car, plus more plumbing from the very rear of the car to the very front. More weight, less power at the rear wheels. Another side-effect of power steering is a loss of feedback from the front suspension to the driver's hands. Power steering tends to numb the sensitivity of the steering wheel to what is going on at the road. I for one prefer sports cars that don't have power steering or power brakes. We all know that the DeLorean has got no power steering. I must admit that it is fairly easy on the steering wheel because of the front and rear weight distribution. But - is it possible to get power steering on the DeLorean? Yes or no? I think it would be very nice to have power steering
