It is not unusual to see the bigger "mainstream" insurers not looking to place coverage on older cars. This is a specialty area that they don't like. You must try the companies that actively seek to place this type of insurance like Grundy, Taylor, and Haggerty among others. There is no developing problem of getting insurance for your older classic car, it is just that your broker and the homeowner's insurance that you commonly would go to first aren't comfortable with it.
