Check to make sure that your idle switch is being tripped and 
operating proporly. It is located behind the throttle spool right by 
the throttle plates. If it isn't working right, it will cause very 
rough and choppy deceleration. I experimented one day disconnecting 
mine so the engine would turn faster when idleing, thus giving me 
more power from the alternator. EVERY time I coasted in gear, no 
matter what speed and what gear I was in, it was rough. Needless to 
say I didn't leave the car like this for very long at all.
