hey guys, i'm still trying to find the source of my 'thunk' sound i hear when making turns. last night i inspected the rear trailing arm bolts - i couldn't budge them with my ratchet, plus they still have the factory epoxy all over them so i assume they are still ok and tight. i also checked the rear body/chassis bolts on that U-shaped pipe in the engine compartment. i couldn't get either of them to budge either. i got my drive shafts lubed under the boots at an auto tech center. yet i still hear the mysterious, dull-sounding 'THUNK' when i make sharp turns. it does this when turning either left or right. can anyone think of another possibility? someone suggested i might have bad motor mounts - i'm still investigating that one.
