Heh, that would be Ed. I did this same thing earlier this year. I wasn't able to tell him about half of the problems with my car and he jumped in with "I'm the only professional in the business. I know what to do to it" etc. Do what I did, call Don Steger at DeLorean Motor Center at (714) 554-6794. It's roughly in the same area as DeLorean One. He and Dan did one heck of a job on my 81 D. I ran into a couple problems once I got it back (heater hose was routed wrong and burned through, a fuel injector fell out due to last minute adjustments when I picked the car up) but no major problems. I can take some credit for the slight problems. I was really pushing them to get the car done quickly for me (since it is my daily driver). I felt very comfortable doing business with Don. He is a factory-trained DeLorean mechanic and has been doing this for 20 years. He's a real easy guy to talk to, and most importantly, I trust him. -Christian 3452 On Mon, 16 Jul 2001, Cameron Putsch wrote: > As many of you have realized by now, my tach does not work correctly, but gives an incorrect reading consistantly and refuses to drop below 1500 or go above 2500. Well I called up DMC One in Calif. And some guy got on the phone and he cut me off in the middle of, what my tach is doing speech, by esentaily insulting my intelligence . . . [mod snip]
