The wire SHOULD be connected to the solonoid, just not to the coil correct? What kind of difference will there be compared to it not have been connected to my starter at all since I've had my car (over a year now)? On a side note. I replaced my negative ground cables today and I can't believe what a difference it made. Before it never seemed all that strong when it came to starting but now it is like a brand new car.
