Jason, Side post batteries are notorious for giving trouble if you 
have them. We put a new side post in my wifes car and it lasted less 
that 2 years. They started leaking and corroded out the connection 
and then lost it. I switched my D over to top post. Either way you 
go, it's more than likly the battery.
