Posted answers to your query refer to the vacuum line to the valve that controls the flow of water to the heater unit. The problem that I had was that the valve was stuck in the closed position so whether there was vacuum or not was irrelevant. The valve shoulb be open all the time except when the a/c is on the Max position. You will probably have to remove the valve and free off the rusted/ seized hinged joint on the actuating arm.
