That's not unheard of. Concours judges have noticed that unmodified stock 
DeLoreans will sometimes have undeniably factory installed original parts or 
engineering that isn't "correct" according to the official changeover 
records. They've had to change the Concours rules accordingly. Or it could 
be a post-factory change, but that seems unlikely in this case.
