I believe that the answers to both your questions are "no"
The DMC Angle drive looks VERY similar to the angle drive that hangs
on the transmission of an MGB, but it is not the same. MAYBE some of
the internals would be transfereble, but I'd be surprised if the
ratios are the same. And from what I've seen of aftermarket MGB
parts, it's not any cheaper than buying the right one.
Also - some of the DMC vendors are now selling a "hardened" version
of the angle drive that should last much longer. Another reason to
stick with the right stuff.
