They're the plastic channels framing in the windshield on either side of the inside. These can distort over time from sun and heat. Part of them extends UNDER the windshield, so the only proper way to install them is with the windshield out. Taking out a good windshield risks breaking it. So now, if you're replacing your windshield, is your best chance if you need to do the A post trims too.
