Richard, The DeLorean is equipped with a Constant "automatic" Idle Speed System; the idle is basically non-adjustable. Most high idle problems are a result of an electrical malfunction in this circuit or out of alignment throttle component. Most auto transmission shifting problems are due to a defective Governor Computer.
