STOP! Most oil leaks are caused by a failed seal at the oil sender switch. The oil that leaks out of the switch usually collects at the oil pan mimicking an oil pan leak. Actually the engine manufacturing plant did an excellent job on the oil pan and gasket. A fact, few DeLorean owners realize, is that the oil pan is heavy cast which greatly increases the sealing quality and longevity of the oil pan gasket. Most DeLorean's, including very high mileage cars, are still equipped with the factory oil pan gasket which is still leak free. Not a common occurrence among the average automobile engine. One of the spots that it appeared to be coming from was the oil pan gasket. I bought a new gasket and attempted to install it myself. I took 15 or so bolts off the oil pan when i realised the final bolts in the back were blocked by the frame of the car. Is there any easy way to gain access to those bolts? or do i have to loosen the entire engine? Thanks Willie [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
