Group, According to a DeLorean expert (certainly not me)...Ed, the owner of DeLorean One...he claims that there are maybe 300 (maximum) really good quality, original DMC-12's in existence. He says there are alot of poorly repaired, poorly maintained, "unmolested" but also unreliable and undesirable cars out there. As far as rarity goes, please realize that Ferrari built over 12,000 308's and 8,200 Testarossa's. So seeing a really nice D is actually more difficult than seeing one of the above F's...and their current resale prices reflect the large population of the cars out there - 308's can sell for low 20's for an average one and early Testarossa's sell for low 50's all day long. Engine rebuilds - figure the cost of the car for the 308 and 35,000 for the Testarossa. I've driven every modern Ferrari made and have owned most and the 308 was an embarrassment to Maranello performance-wise. Bottom line is all cars have pluses and minuses...and everyone has different tastes...luckily there are enough choices to make us all happy. Fred 6894
